Wearable Art Unisex T-Shirt (Sky Riders) | Digital Reproduction of Unique Textile Design

This image is taken from a large cotton ikat textile that was produced on the island of Lombok in Indonesia. The feathery edges of the figures can be seen oriented with the warp (or vertical) yarns which were first tie dyed by hand to establish the basic ikat design. This painstaking process of tie dying, untying, retying, redying, and again untying was repeated for each color before being mounted onto the loom. Following that, the plain weft (or horizontal) yarns were finally interwoven to produce the body of the cloth.

This is a relaxed fit, garment-dyed T-shirt that feels lived-in from the first wear.
